Here are some helpful guidelines for how my office can support you when dealing with a state agency. I consider it a privilege to represent you and encourage you to reach out to my office whenever you need help.
Our office can help you if:
- You are a Virginia resident of the 22nd House District and your inquiry is with a state government agency or program
- Find out if you are in my District using the Virginia General Assembly’s Who’s My Legislator Link.
How our office can be of assistance:
- Facilitate a dialogue between you and state agencies
- Request information or a status report on your inquiry, issue or concern
- Submit an inquiry with a state agency on your behalf
- Help you obtain information from a state agency
What our office cannot assist with:
- Expedite your inquiry
- Force a state agency to act in your favor
- Provide legal advice or recommend an attorney
- Overturn or influence matters involving private businesses
- Intervene with federal or local issues that fall under the jurisdiction of federal or local governments. We can, however, help put you in touch with the appropriate representative.
- Intervene with judicial issues. My office cannot legally get involved with pending litigation and civil lawsuits.
- Overturn or in any way influence a court’s decision
Public Services
- Speaking to community groups, school, and service organizations
- Presenting commending and memorial resolutions
- Referring you to the appropriate agency at the federal, state or local level
- Assisting with State Capitol Tours and Virginia tourism information
- Introducing bills of interest to you
